We invite you to join us at the annual Utah Crime Victims Conference for its 36th year! This conference will be held May 2 & 3, 2024 at the Zermatt Resort in Midway, Utah, and streamed on Zoom to those attending virtually.


How Are We Helping? Breaking Barriers, Providing Continuity, Building Resiliency.

Topics will include:

  • Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG): Golden State Killer Case Study
  • Breathing Lessons: Sustaining a Career in Helping Professions
  • Trauma-Informed Effective Communication with Victims with Limited English Proficiency

Up to 9.0 including 1.0 Ethics CEU are available.
Up to 9.0 including 1.0 ethics and 1.0 Professionalism and Civility CLE are available.

Crime Victim Service Awards

As part of the conference, we will announce the winners of the annual Crime Victim Service Awards. We are now accepting nominations for the awards, and encourage you to recognize a deserving colleague for all of their efforts. The nomination process has been updated to only include a short form as a first step, then follow-up information will be requested for those who advance past the first stage. The deadline for the award nominations was Wednesday, January 10th.

Scholarships

Scholarship applications for the Crime Victims Conference are open. Those unable to afford the registration fee, or work for an agency not capable of covering the cost, may submit a request for a scholarship via the form linked below.

The scholarship will only cover conference registration costs. This scholarship can cover either virtual or in-person registration costs. Travel, hotel, and other fees will not be covered by the scholarship.

Scholarship applications are due on March 1st. Scholarships will be reviewed and determined by the Crime Victims Conference planning committee. Applicants will be notified in the middle of March.


Other Information

Tickets are not transferable between in-person and virtual. Please make sure you are registering for how you want to attend.

Refunds will not be issued after March 28, 2024. Eventbrite fees may not be refunded. If you need to transfer a ticket to another attendee please contact Taylor Keys at tkeys@utah.gov
